Pick a
colour for your frame that appears in the design. This will boost the
design and make it look stronger.
Remember,
as long as you've used one of the three main brands of thread,
DMC, Anchor or Madeira, your stitching is colourfast even in the
washing machine.
Always
take special pieces to be framed professionally. It's worth spending a
bit extra to finish off something that's taken many hours of precious
time to complete.
If you
are framing smaller designs yourself, consider adding rubber stamps,
buttons or charms to the frame or mount - particularly on designs for
children.
Before
washing your work make sure that all the ends at the back of the
stitching are securely fastened so that your stitching doesn't unravel
in the wash.
